The Utah Map Project is a collection of cartographic short stories and field guides that utilize maps, images and text to document the history, landscape and people of Utah. These short stories are divided into two categories – Systems and Typologies.
Systems document the individual parts of an infrastructure that are connected to make a greater whole; for example a road, a river or a mountain range. Typologies, the study of types, compare and contrast elements within a theme such as caves, courthouses or famous criminals.
